Day 6 of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 brought incredible energy as Wheelchair Rugby took over the Vancouver Convention Centre. With teamwork, strategy, and sheer determination on full display, competitors left it all on the court in pursuit of a spot in the finals.
Wheelchair Rugby is a sport of precision, power, and relentless grit, and today’s pool matches and semi-finals delivered just that with a number of unforgettable moments. From hard-fought battles to last-minute plays, teams showcased the resilience and camaraderie that define the Invictus Games.
After a day of intense competition, three teams emerged victorious, standing proudly on the Wheelchair Rugby podium.
Team US – Bronze Medal: USA put on an incredible display of strength and perseverance, fighting through tough matchups to claim bronze over a tough opponent in Australia. Their teamwork and strategy kept the Aussies on edge, and came out on top for the tough-earned victory.
Team UK – Silver Medal: The United Kingdom gave it their all, battling fiercely in the final showdown versus France. With precision passing and fearless determination, they secured the silver medal, leaving everything on the court and making their nation proud.
Team France – Gold Medal: In a thrilling championship match, France delivered came from behind in the second half to take gold. Their speed, agility, and strategic execution set them apart, cementing their place at the top of the podium and showcasing the true power of perseverance.
