The 9Network will partner with the Invictus Games Foundation as the official Australian broadcaster of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, presented by ATCO and Boeing. This exciting collaboration will bring the inspirational stories and the extraordinary moments of the Games to audiences across Australia, celebrating the resilience and determination of wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans.

The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, set to take place in Canada from February 8 to February 16, will feature over 500 competitors from 23 nations competing in adaptive sports ranging from wheelchair rugby to alpine skiing. The Games will not only highlight the incredible strength and camaraderie of its participants but also inspire communities worldwide to recognise the power of recovery through sport.

The 9Network will air the international daily highlight packages, plus Opening and Closing ceremonies on 9Gem, and stream additional sports on 9Now. Optus is also sharing the feed across the ADF TV channels in Australian military bases.

Sam Newell, Director of Communications at the Invictus Games Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “We are thrilled to have Channel 9 on board as the official Australian broadcaster for the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, and that service members located on base will be able to watch over ADF TV thanks to Optus. Such committed partners will help us amplify the voices of competitors and shine a light on the incredible journeys they’ve undertaken. This partnership will ensure that the Invictus Spirit reaches homes across Australia, inspiring countless others, changing lives and saving lives.”

Simon Fordham, Nine Wide World of Sports Head of Partnerships and Strategy, shared his excitement: “The Invictus Games are a beacon of hope, resilience, and determination, and we are honoured to broadcast this event to Australian audiences. Partnering with the Invictus Games Foundation allows us to showcase the remarkable achievements of these competitors and celebrate their unwavering spirit. We look forward to bringing their stories to life and highlighting the incredible efforts of Team Australia.”
