The Invictus Games Foundation is delighted to have the support of fundraisers Brothers ‘n’ Oars undertaking one of the toughest races on the planet in aid of international wounded injured and sick service personnel and veterans.

Taking place in June 2023, the four man crew will embark on Atlantic Campaign's inaugural Pacific Rowing Challenge, a 4,800km row across the Pacific Ocean in support of the Invictus Games Foundation and Blue Marine Foundation in the hope of raising significant funds to support both charities’ work.

As part of the fundraising drive, the group have also launched a rowing challenge to encourage the general public and supporters to get involved with Row2Raise, by rowing 2km, nominating 2 people, and then donating £2 (or more!)

The British group contains brothers Oliver and Harry Amos, along with friends Paris Norriss, and Barney Lewis. Harry, who twice served in Afghanistan, said:

“Cayle Royce MBE is my inspiration for this challenge. He is a man who has experienced enormous trauma and hardship to then overcome his injuries and conquer the Atlantic twice! Roycey and I served together in Afghanistan when in May 2012 he was hit by an IED whilst we conducted a raid on a Taliban weapons cache. Only 18 months later, he set off to row 5000km across the Atlantic. Organisations like our partnered charity the Invictus Games Foundation supported him in his Endeavours and so this is our chance to give back.”

The ‘Brothers ‘n Oars’ team is attempting to take on one of the biggest adventure challenges on earth - rowing 4,800km across The Pacific Ocean. In June 2023, starting from Monterey Bay, California, the team will row non-stop for around 40 days and 40 nights to Kauai, Hawaii. The challenge will push their mental and physical capabilities beyond imaginable limits as the journey is full of the unknown and the unforeseeable; and the risks are colossal. The team started this challenge having never set foot inside a rowing boat. But after 18 months preparation; physical, mental, and technical, the Brothers 'N Oars crew is ready to conquer the Big Blue.

In 2021, the Invictus Games Foundation was supported by Rob Hamilton who individually rowed across the Atlantic raising funds for the charity, which you can watch here.
